Fretboard Symmetry: Triad Forms and Usage in Outlining Chord Changes
This episode will take a look at how symmetrical triad forms can quickly unlock the fretboard and allow the player to visualize beyond the limitations of traditional position forms. Traditional systems such as the CAGED, 3 note per string , and others are great tools but students often get trapped in these boxes. Using the natural symmetry of the guitar a player can greatly increase their navigation and advance themselves more quickly than you may think.

Pentatonic Substitutes
This episode will take a look at how symmetrical use of the basic pentatonic boxes to play chord changes. Using the natural symmetry of the guitar one can play these pentatonic ideas chromatically using the same shape and follow the changes for the progression: II-7/V7alt/IMaj7/VI7alt.

This episode will modal fragments and the sub fragments of music fundaments such as 7th chords, triads, various intervals, and enclosures. I’ll create licks that incorporate ornamentation using chromatic approach and passing tones to further develop musical ideas and aid in playing chord changes. Using the natural symmetry of the guitar one can quickly multiply their fretboard knowledge.
